“Heartbreaking—that is what President Marcos Jr. felt about the incident in Tacloban where some young people sacrificed their lives to save their fellow students. It is the youth who become victims, and it is also the youth who are the perpetrators,” Castro said in Filipino.
“This is separate from the earlier assistance extended by various government agencies, such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development led by Secretary Rex Gatchalian and the Department of Education led by Secretary Sonny Angara,” added Castro.
