Mob Wives creator Jennifer Graziano gave E! News an exclusive update on the show’s revival as she and sister Renee Graziano—and special guest Marissa Jade—head out on a sit-down tour.
‘Mob Wives’ Creator Jennifer Graziano Reveals Where Revival Plans Stand
Jennifer Graziano is ready to bring the mob wife aesthetic back to the small screen.
More than 10 years after Mob Wives ended its six-season run, the show’s creator revealed that plans are in motion for a revival of the series that followed the wives and daughters of those connected to the Italian American Mafia in New York City.
“Networks reached out to me last year wanting a reboot, but they wanted a different show,” Jennifer exclusively shared with E! News during a joint interview with her older sister and Mob Wives star Renee Graziano. “They didn't want the same old—and I don't mean old people—cast members. They didn't want the same old stories. They wanted new cast members, with all the other sprinkled in.”
And while Renee joked that her sister was calling them “old girl,” Jennifer shared how the new show would be a new kind of familigia—with Renee as the glue from the previous series.
“Same theory, but different cast members. And they wanted it multigenerational,” the 54-year-old explained. “We have about nine new cast members. Some in their 30s, some in their 40s. They're all kind of new age in the sense that they're looking at it from a different perspective.”
Still, Jennifer—herself the daughter of late Bonnano crime family member Anthony A. Graziano—emphasized that the retooled version would have to stay true to the show’s name. In fact, those being eyed to join the show have, as she noted, “such great connections with real big, well-known names.”

Though she hopes that formalized plans for the new show will be in place in the coming months, she is armed with a plan b.
“I’ll finance it myself and put it out—maybe,” Jennifer quipped,. “So that's where we are right now.”
Beyond changes to the cast, the producer admitted there will be one key change behind the scenes: she won’t be quite so hands-on this time around.
“I want to just get it going and then I'm going to the beach,” she explained. “I am hiring an entire team to handle my work for me. I will never, ever, ever do what I did the last time and spend all that time on set. I didn't need to.”

But luckily all those years on set did give Jennifer, Renee and costar Marissa Jade plenty of behind-the-scenes secrets and stories, all of which they’ll be sharing with fans this summer for the Mob Wives: The Sit Down Tour, an eight-city live event series with City Winery.
Jennifer—also writer of stage show Married By the Mob starring Renee—was particularly excited for a new way to connect with audiences, especially after spending years behind the scenes.
“I don't know if I'm gonna love it or hate it,” she admitted, “but I'll let you know.”
