OpenAI Proposes Giving 5% Stake to US Government: FT

OpenAI has begun preliminary discussions about giving the US government a 5% stake in the ChatGPT-developer. The Financial Times reported that executives proposed the move as part of a broader arrangement under which Washington would hold 5% of each of the leading American AI developers.
