Actress-vlogger Sachzna Laparan said she has no plans to file a case against her former boyfriend, Mark Pascual, over the alleged P50 million he owes her and her family.
Laparan made the statement during a media interview at her contract signing with an aesthetic and wellness brand on Thursday, July 2, but asked reporters to hold off on publishing the story until she released her own statement. She publicly confirmed their breakup and disclosed the alleged debt in a Facebook post on Saturday, July 4.
The influencer told select reporters that she and Pascual have been separated for nearly two weeks, although she admitted she had been contemplating ending the relationship for about a year.

“Magka-two weeks na. Actually, one year ko na siyang hindi naramdaman. Na hindi na, ayoko na talaga. Sobrang ma-ano ako eh, ma-patience ako na tao. So, tinatry ko lang ayusin pa rin. Or binibigyan ko lagi ng mga chances. Pero kasi ‘pag wala na talaga, wala na talaga,” she said.

Laparan clarified that infidelity was not the reason behind their split, as she revealed that it was due to money.
“Grabe kasing reason nito. Walang cheating na involved. This time siguro, nagmamature na ako. Alam ko hindi na nakakatulong sa akin ‘yung tao. Lalo na na-ddrag na ako pababa. So, may utang sa akin, P50M. Aalisan mo na ‘yun,” she said.
Despite the amount involved, Laparan said she has no intention of pursuing legal action or demanding payment.

“Inunahin niya na muna bayaran ‘yung mga iba. Kasi di lang naman ako. Ayoko na lang kasi ng communication. Mas mahal ang peace of mind ko kaysa sa P50M. Saka kasi kung wala naman maibayad, bakit ko pa sisingilin?” she said.
Asked if she would file a case, Laparan reiterated: “Wala na. Kasi kahit mag-file ako ng case, hindi naman niya mababayaran. Gagastos lang ako ng gagastos.”

The content creator said she learned about Pascual’s financial troubles through people who trusted her and believed she was aware of his transactions because they were partners.
“Nalaman ko kasi maraming nagsabi sakin. ‘Yung mga tao kasi na pinagkakatiwalaan ako. Akala sa akin napupunta ‘yung pera o alam ko yung ginagawa niya dahil partner kami. So, mas masakit ‘yun sa nag-cheat o nagloko,” she said.
Laparan added that the issue had affected not only her but also her family, who had also lent Pascual money.
“Sabi ko, hindi ko naman kailangan ng ganyang money. We’re talking about millions here. Sabi ko nga, hindi na ‘yun normal sakit na ‘yun. Kasi sa 4, 3 years namin, parang gano’n lagi yung nangyayari. At, nadadamay na pati yung family ko kasi pati sila nagpapahiram,” she said.
The vlogger claimed Pascual invested the money in cryptocurrency and stocks but incurred losses.
“Para kasing ilalagay niya sa mga crypto, kung alam niyo ‘yun. Mga stocks, ganyan. Lagi lang siyang nawawala. I mean, natatalo siya dun. Eh, ang masama, hindi kasi niya pera, pera ko ‘yun. At pera ng ibang tao,” she added.
In her July 4 Facebook statement, Laparan thanked Pascual for their three-year relationship and said she was forgiving the alleged P50 million debt to give him “a chance to start over.”
She also stressed that she did not benefit from the money invested in his ventures and had no knowledge of many of his financial decisions.
Pascual later posted his own statement on his Facebook page, acknowledging his financial problems and saying he has been gradually repaying people he owes.
“I posted about my financial problem last 2 years ago and hanggang ngayon hindi ko pa din totally nababayaran lahat but I’m still paying people kaya sobrang hirap ng situation ko at umaabot sa time na kelangan ko muna umutang para masalo mga obligasyon ko,” he wrote.
He maintained that he has no intention of running away from his obligations and claimed he lost P150 million through cryptocurrency leverage trading.
