“On July 6, we returned the warrant, which includes his mugshots, everything, fingerprints, and certificate of detention. The only thing missing at that time was Sen. Marcoleta’s medical certificate on medical condition, which we submitted yesterday upon receiving the directive of the Sandiganbayan,” Guiagui said in Filipino.
The court had ordered Guiagui and the PNP GH on Wednesday to separately submit reports on Marcoleta’s medical condition.
Marcoleta, who faces a plunder case stemming from P75 million in undeclared campaign donations he received while serving as a party-list lawmaker, has been confined at the PNP GH since July 6 after experiencing chest pains and high blood pressure.
The PNP confirmed that the Sandiganbayan issued a commitment order placing Marcoleta under CIDG custody while he undergoes medical evaluation.
