
A Mare of Easttown/Task crossover of some sort is in the works. Julianne Nicholson is set to reprise her Emmy-winning Mare of Easttown role as Lori Ross in Season 2 of HBO’s Task, Deadline has confirmed.
Few details are known, but Nicholson will portray Lori Ross, the mother of three children who lives in Easttown.
Both series are created and executive produced by Brad Ingelsby and take place in the working-class suburbs of Philadelphia. Up to now, there has been no connection between the two series.
In Season 2 of Task, which is currently in pre-production, Tom Brandis (Mark Ruffalo) takes the helm of a new task force, but the deeper the operation runs, the harder it is to tell who’s the target.
Nicholson joins Season 2 cast including Mahershala Ali as Eddie Barnes; Harry Melling as Brennan Boylan; Adam Nagaitis as Luke Clemmons; Aminah Nieves as Nataly Zamora and Edgar Ramírez as Miguel Contreras.
Ingelsby serves as creator, writer, showrunner and executive producer. Paul Lee and Mark Roybal executive produce for wiip alongside Jeremiah Zagar, Mark Ruffalo, and Ron Schmidt.l Nicole Jordan-Webber and Karen Wacker co-executive produce.
Nicholson’s recent credits also include Dan Fogelman’s Paradise, Hacks, BBC’s Dope Girls, HBO’s Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty and The Outsider. Next up for Nicholson is The Riders feature with Brad Pitt. Nicholson is represented by United Talent Agency, Untitled Entertainment and B-Side Management (UK) .
