Converge FiberX launched the second season of its Student League Ambassadors program, called Limitless X, at the Oakridge Pavilion in Mandaue City, Cebu on July 7, 2026.
Beyond connectivity, we want to be the enabler of this platform. It’s not just the internet. It’s really the community that will bring us offline and online.

The launch event took place at the Oakridge Pavilion in Mandaue City, Cebu, to officially kick off Limitless X, the second season of the Converge FiberX Student League Ambassadors program.
Moving away from a capital-centric focus, Cebu City was selected as the launchpad due to the region’s local innovation landscape and student talent pool.
The gap in access
While the program’s initial season demonstrated that student creators naturally step up when given a stage, the expansion highlights a structural reality: talent is distributed across the provinces, but equal access to resources is not.
“What they often lack is access,” emphasized JP Aguilar, Converge SVP and Consumer Business Group Head, during his keynote address. “Access to platforms, access to mentors, access to communities, access to people who believe in them before the world does.
And that’s exactly where Converge wants to make a difference. For us, connectivity has never been just about the internet. It’s about creating possibilities because when people are connected, ideas grow, communities grow, dreams grow, and futures begin to change.”
Evolving into a teammate
To execute this regional rollout, the initiative aims to expand the role of the telecom provider on the ground into a practical resource partner for students.
“Maybe the internet is just a means or an enabler for us to do all of these things,” shared Orange Ramirez, Converge VP and Brand & Marketing Head. “Beyond connectivity, we want to be the enabler of this platform. It’s not just the internet. It’s really the community that will bring us offline and online.”
Ramirez further explained that this student-centric approach is designed to meet real, everyday needs through localized programs.
“We saw that some really want to study. But they don’t have the proper access to connectivity. Or their laptop is conking out. Or their chairs are very uncomfortable. So we need to be able to provide them with the whole caboodle of great dress up for their desktop.”
Blurring the lines between work and play
Following the opening assembly, the venue operated as an experiential digital ecosystem, letting local media, creators, and students interact through specialized functional zones:
The XPlay Corner: A high-speed gaming hub demonstrating stable, low-latency connectivity.
The Ambassador Zone: A dedicated hub highlighting the diverse academic and creative projects of local student leaders.
The visual showcase of the student-led “X” formation served as a physical benchmark for the movement, signaling Cebu’s inclusion in a platform celebrating regional passion, voice, and tech edge.
Life-changing perks for season 2
The second season of the Student League Ambassadors program introduces tangible, community-driven incentives to support regional youth development:
Global Collaboration in Vietnam: Building on last year’s trip to Thailand, selected provincial ambassadors will earn an educational and cultural trip to Vietnam to “interact with other students there… and build that community.”
The “Battle Station Raid”: Selected local students will receive complete desk and workspace overhauls, providing upgraded hardware, ergonomic furniture, and high-speed connectivity setups.
Coming soon: Tech Trucks & Campus Masterclasses
The Cebu launch also serves as the starting point for several regional rollouts scheduled over the coming months:
The Tech Truck: A mobile customer service hub deploying across local neighborhoods to handle direct service feedback. “We want to be able to come to you and make sure that we deliver the service that you guys deserve,” Ramirez stated.
Gaming Masterclasses: Resident gaming champion Poy will embark on a localized Visayas campus tour to teach technical optimization for student workstations.
By establishing Converge Limitless X in Cebu, the program invites Visayan youth to step up as active co-builders of a nationwide framework, demonstrating that with proper localized resources and stable connections, regional student potential remains unconfined by location.
