MANILA, Philippines—Thirdy Ravena is officially back in the Japan B.League.
The Toyama Grouses announced on Friday that they have signed Ravena to a contract, bringing the Ateneo product back to Japan’s premier basketball league.

“I’m excited to come back to Japan and play my best for the Grouses this season,” he said in the team’s announcement, while also taking to Instagram. “Back in the Land.”

After leaving the San-En Neophoenix in 2024, Ravena took his talents to the ABA League in Dubai.
He saw limited action during his stint in the Middle Eastern league.

When Ravena was in Manila a few weeks ago for the B.League Final Week, he expressed his desire to return to Japan.

“Japan B.League has been my first professional league and they’ve always welcomed me with open arms, they’ve treated me like family since the first day I got there so I’d love to play in the B.League once again,” he said then.

His new contract with Toyama officially grants his wish.
Thirdy’s older brother, Kiefer, meanwhile, found his new home in Ryukyu with the Golden Kings after a stellar year with the Yokohama B-Corsairs.
