Malta Fashion Week came to a stylish close with its fourth and final runway evening, bringing together some of the island’s top designers for one last showcase of creativity, craftsmanship and innovation.
The closing night was attended by First Lady Lydia Abela, whose presence highlighted the growing importance of Malta’s fashion industry within the country’s cultural and creative sectors.
The evening opened with Gabrielle Fenech’s collection, TRAPA, which explored the relationship between the human body and structural design through sculptural silhouettes, intricate corsetry and sharp tailoring.
Next up was JessCut by Jessica Cutajar, who presented Echoes of Malta, a collection inspired by the island’s cultural heritage. Drawing on symbols such as the Knights of Malta, corsair ships, Il-Merill and native flora, the collection transformed Maltese history into contemporary wearable art.
Returning to the runway, XUĒ by Sarah Xuereb unveiled Pawża, a collection centred around the importance of slowing down in an increasingly fast-paced world. The designs embraced themes of stillness and reflection while maintaining a modern aesthetic.
Closing this year’s runway presentations was one of Malta’s best-known fashion houses, Charles & Ron, with their Fall/Winter 2026/27 collection, Siparju.
Inspired by the historic Teatru Manoel, the collection drew on the theatre’s rich interiors, dramatic atmosphere and timeless elegance, combining luxurious fabrics with original prints and a distinctly Maltese identity.
The celebrations continued after the runway with the official Campari After Party, where designers, models and guests marked the end of another successful edition of Malta Fashion Week.
Although the catwalk has officially closed for this year, the celebrations are far from over. The spotlight will now shift to the Malta Fashion Awards, where the achievements of Malta’s fashion industry will be recognised.
Once again, Malta Fashion Week reaffirmed its place as the country’s biggest fashion event, providing a platform for established designers, emerging talent and the continued growth of Malta’s creative industries.
