This is a rather appropriate term which has been coined in the lexicon of cyber-speak to describe the vast output of information by Artificial Intelligence which proves to be hollow and inaccurate.
Increasingly, both individuals and businesses are finding it necessary to fact-check seemingly professionally produced discourse and assemblies of data before using these as a basis for decisions and comment. If such checking is performed by using conventional paper libraries, the process can be exhausting, but the alternative of using traditional means such as Wikipedia leads only to a repetition of the problem because AI can only summarise the material (right, wrong or just misguided) which has been fed into LLMs.
Expert advocates of AI tell us that there are bound to be such teething troubles in the first years of the revolution, but the imminent development of super-AI will resolve this due to a decisive capability which will spot and correct errors in output.
However, doubts and fears are being expressed by cybernauts in sufficient number to cause a glitch in Nasdaq and other stock markets to the extent that Elon Musk has lost his recently acquired status as being the world´s first trillionaire.
The failure of Silicon Valley leaders to recognize that the speed and inclusivity of the AI monolith require a deeper human psychology is the cause of such fears and operative exhaustion. There is an urgent need to upgrade mere passenger status to executive participation without which management of the new industry may go astray.
The massive flight of capital into the treasuries of AI’s magnificent seven corporations is causing financial starvation to U.S. business in general. Investment to produce growth without inflation is now vital for its economy.
The elimination of workslop will make AI a superior tool for all manner of tasks. If used intelligently by motivated cybernauts, it may lead to the promised land of growth and wealth for all.
