Ariana Grande Reschedules Eternal Sunshine Tour Shows Over Safety Concerns
Ariana Grande is unfortunately saying thank u, next to American Horror Story.
Though the “7 Rings” singer was announced in October as a member of the FX series’ season 13 cast, E! News can confirm that the show’s production moved dates that conflicted with her eternal sunshine tour, which she kicked off last month.
Following her casting announcement alongside AHS regulars Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe and Leslie Grossman, Grande teased the “very exciting text” she received from creator Ryan Murphy.
“I know a little tiny bit [about the role] but what I know I can’t say,” the 33-year-old told Variety in November. “I’ll probably have a very tiny thing to do in it, but I’ll be grateful to be a part of it because I love everyone involved.”
Although she was set to make her AHS debut this season, the Oscar nominee is no stranger to working with Murphy—and her then-castmates. Indeed, she previously starred in Murphy’s 2015 show Scream Queens alongside Roberts, Lourd and Keke Palmer, an opportunity she told the prolific creator she was grateful to have.
“When I got the chance to meet with him, I was like, 'Whatever you want me to do, I’m down,'” she explained to Teen Vogue in 2015. “I was like, 'I’ll play any role, I’ll be the first one to die, the villain, I'll be anything you want. I was so excited when this opportunity came about.'"
As for Murphy’s POV, working with the Wicked star on the horror comedy was nothing short of a dream.

“She was lovely, she was great. All of the girls loved her,” he told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live in 2017. “And all of the girls are actually still close to her.”
