No other country has had both representatives win the Miss Supranational and Mister Supranational titles in the same year, but Katrina Llegado and Felipe Marasigan are confident that they will be able to make that unprecedented feat for the Philippines.
Even many of those who attended their send-off media conference in Pasay City on Friday, July 10, expressed confidence that the two Filipino representatives may bring home the bacon from their respective competitions.
Llegado has been waiting for more than a year since her proclamation as The Miss Philippines-Supranational in May 2025, becoming the last titleholder from her batch to compete, whereas Marasigan will be the first from the 2026 Mister Pilipinas Worldwide stable to see action abroad.

And the contrast in the two delegates’ journeys do not end there. Llegado is a seasoned contender who had already represented the Philippines at the 2019 Reina Hispanoamericana pageant, finishing as fifth runner-up. The national male competition in April was Marasigan’s first foray into pageantry.

Llegado shared that she did not get tired of waiting for her competition, and used all the time to her advantage and prepare for it. “There’s no such thing as over training,” she said.
Marasigan, however, did not have such luxury. “As the first person to represent this current batch, I know that I had a short time frame. I really wanted to make the most of it,” he said.
“Luckily, I had a great camp, a great help behind me in terms of [Mister Pilipinas Worldwide], all the staff that helped me. I really worked on my [question-and-answer], making sure I lifted weights to get bigger, put on some size, as well as my ‘pasarela’ (pageant walk) training,” he added.
Llegado had time to return to work and focus on her business but devoted the last six months to preparing for the Miss Supranational pageant, she shared.

“Right now I’m just 100 percent focused on my Supranational journey. And I’m ready, definitely, for it,” declared the beauty entrepreneur and military reservist.
Llegado is on a mission to post the Philippines’ second Miss Supranational win 13 years since Binibining Pilipinas Mutya Datul brought home the crown in 2013. Marasigan, meanwhile, will try to become the first Filipino contender to win the Mister Supranational title.
