
LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — One person died in a collision between a motorcycle and a car at the National Highway in Barangay Sangi, Toledo City, on Saturday, July 11, 2026, around 3:40 a.m.
The victim was identified as alias Chris, of legal age, a resident of Barangay General Climaco, Toledo City, driver of the motorcycle.
Meanwhile, the driver of the car was identified as alias Don, 18 years old, a resident of Purok Rose, Barangay Lamac, Pinamungajan town.
Based on the investigation of the Toledo City Police Station, the two were traveling in opposite directions.

The car driver was traveling in his lane, when suddenly the motorcycle crossed from opposite, which resulted in a head-on collision.
Thrown to the pavement
Due to the impact, the motorcycle driver was thrown to the pavement and sustained severe injuries.
The victim was immediately brought by personnel from the Toledo City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office to Toledo City General Hospital.

However, he was declared dead upon arrival by the attending physician.
The driver of the Honda CRV, meanwhile, is in the custody of Toledo City Police Station, where he will face charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
