Deadly incident said to occur in Airbnb apartment in the Nachlaot neighborhood; neighbor says police were warned several times of drugs, prostitution at location
A 19-year-old was stabbed to death during an argument Saturday evening in an apartment in Jerusalem’s Nachlaot neighborhood, Israel Police and medics said.
By Sunday morning, police said they had arrested six suspects in the case.
MDA medics said they found the victim with no vital signs and multiple stab wounds. They rushed him to the capital’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center, where he died of his wounds.
The victim was later identified in Hebrew media reports as Binyahu Razzi from the Jerusalem suburb of Giv’at Ze’ev.
Police said they opened an investigation into the incident as a case of criminal violence rather than terrorism, and set up roadblocks to locate the suspected perpetrators.

Eyewitnesses told the Ynet outlet that the stabbing happened on Shirizli Street in an Airbnb apartment.
A group of young men had rented the apartment for the weekend.
The identities of the victim and the suspects was not immediately clear.
“I contacted the police several times,” a neighbor told Ynet.
“On Thursday, I told them that there were drugs, prostitution and a mess in the apartment,” the neighbor said, adding that police told them they could not do anything about it, despite several warnings of criminal activity.
“The writing was on the wall, and they did nothing about it,” he said.
He said the neighborhood has been abandoned by law enforcement to drugs and prostitution. “It is shocking what is going on here.”
Earlier Saturday, a man was shot and critically wounded on Jerusalem Boulevard, in Jaffa, in broad daylight. Police opened an investigation into the incident and ruled out terrorism as a motive.
Meanwhile, in Haifa, two men in their 30s were stabbed and seriously injured. The pair, residents of the Bedouin town of Basmat Tab’un, were taken to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa.
Police said three suspects were arrested, two of them residents of Basmat Tab’un, and another from the Arab town of Jadida-Makr in the Western Galilee region.
According to a tally from the Haaretz newspaper, there have been 180 homicides in the country since the beginning of the year, of which 150 were in the Arab Israeli community.
