Dumre (Tanahun), July 12
The construction of infrastructure for ‘Bhanu Sahitya Udyan’ (Bhanu Literary Park), a project of national pride aimed at transforming Chundi Ramgha, the birthplace of Nepali poet Bhanu Bhakta Acharya (the first poet of Nepali literature), into an international academic and literary hub, has made significant progress.
As part of this long-anticipated initiative, which is a government priority, the development of a park has commenced over an area of approximately 500 ropanis in Ramgha Danda, Bhanu Municipality-4. The construction process has begun in the first phase with the allocated budget. According to the master plan, the park will feature diverse infrastructure, including the modern ‘Bhanu Bhavan’, a full-sized statue of Aadikavi, Saptadham, Sahitya Gram, Pragya Bhavan, and a technology-friendly ticket counter.
Anandraj Tripathi, the Mayor of Bhanu Municipality, stated that the Urban Development and Building Department has finalised the Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) report to ensure that construction proceeds in an organised, environmentally sustainable, and efficient manner. “Through the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction, Rs. 240 million has been allocated for this project of national pride in the upcoming year,” he remarked, “Infrastructure development will be executed according to the multi-year plan utilising this budget.”
The master plan also includes the installation of replicas of significant religious and cultural heritage from the seven provinces, along with statues of prominent figures in Nepali literature within the park. The special initiative and vision of President Ramchandra Paudel has propelled the initiative to establish Bhanu Sahitya Udyan. The foundation stone for this park, recognised as a project of national pride through his initiative, was laid by President Paudel on April 27.
