Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi's Baby Girl Shows Off Full Head of Hair in New Photo
Millie Bobby Brown took home more than souvenirs during a trip to Japan.
The Stranger Things star recently revealed that after an incident in which she and her security were chased for 20 minutes by an unnamed party led to a three-month long anxiety attack, she was finally able to reconnect with her inner peace while visiting monks in Kyoto.
“I went to Japan and I sat with these monks and it was the most amazing experience,” she said during her appearance on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast. “I'm getting teary eyed talking about it, but it took me out of the cycle. I needed it.”
Brown went on to explain that while visiting the country with her husband Jake Bongiovi, they visited a temple during which they meditated in a garden alongside 50 other people.
“This one amazing gentleman who was like just so calm and almost felt like he saw me,” she recalled. “I was in the height of my anxiety at this point, it was like he knew that I was kind of broken. He was like, ‘We need to meditate.’”
“It was amazing,” the 22-year-old added. “I will never forget the feeling.”
And though it was Bongiovi’s birthday on the day they visited the temple, Brown explained it felt like she was the one who had received the gift—which Bongiovi was more than happy to have seen.

“I remember being like, ‘I'm sorry, I feel like it's my birthday,’” she shared. “Finally, peace in my heart. And my husband literally said, ‘You radiated this light after.’”
Because not only did the Enola Holmes star find support and understanding amongst the monks, but she also noted how Bongiovi was her number one supporter throughout her mental health crisis.
“My husband's one of those people, he just never questions,” Brown explained. “He's like, ‘What you're telling me, this is your truth. Even if this is your anxiety, you're still feeling it, it's still happening to you.’”
Thankfully, in addition to finding calm in Japan, Brown said she’s also developed other ways to manage her anxiety.

“I'm still figuring it out,” she said, “but I'm now like, I have all these techniques I use and they work.”
And, just in time, too. Because for Millie, getting a hold on her anxiety was the number one thing she had to do before welcoming a baby into her and Bongiovi’s world—something they did in the summer of 2025.
As she noted, “I knew I needed to get I needed to heal and I needed to figure out my anxiety before starting a family.”
And now, the actress couldn’t be happier.
“I always say,” she added, “Jake was the best thing to ever happen to me and my daughter was the best thing to ever happen to us.”
