Live-action ‘Naruto’ movie launches global casting search for Team 7

Searching for the real life Naruto! Childhood favorite Naruto is getting its own live-action adaptation—and the search for its three lead stars is officially underway. On July 10, the production announced a global casting call for the three young shinobi of Team 7: Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. Casting for other characters will be announced at a later date. Destin Daniel Cretton, the filmmaker behind Marvel’s ‘Shang-Chi’ and the upcoming ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day,’ will act as the writer and director.
