
MANDAUE CITY, Cebu — A public hearing took place on Tuesday, July 14, on the proposed ordinance authorizing and regulating the operation of electric tricycles (e-trikes) in Mandaue City, which provides an option for existing tricycle operators to shift from fuel-powered to electric vehicles. Among the agreements reached was that existing tricycle operators who switch to e-trikes may continue using their current franchises. They only need to update the vehicle type. Existing routes and operational rules will remain unchanged.
