
BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — The week of July 4 to 11 in 58 towns of the Cordillera Administrative Region recorded zero crimes, the Cordillera police has reported.
The police also said 35 wanted fugitives have been hunted down and detained during a weeklong anti-criminality campaign across this mountain region.
In a statement posted on its official Facebook page on July 13, the regional police office tallied zero crime reports in 25 municipalities of Abra, nine in Mountain Province, eight in Ifugao, seven in Apayao, five in Benguet, and four in Kalinga.

In Baguio City, Police Stations 5, 8, and 9 likewise recorded zero crime incidents.
The regional police office also reported that it scored a crime clearance efficiency rate of 81.82 percent and a crime solution efficiency rate of 78.18 percent, which it said reflected sustained efforts to improve crime response and case resolution.
The Cordillera police also said manhunt operations have resulted in the arrest of 35 fugitives and highlighted improvements in peace and order across the region during the monitoring period.
Data from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division showed that the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) and the Baguio City Police Office recorded the highest number of arrests of 12 wanted persons each in their respective jurisdictions. They were followed by the Abra PPO with five arrests, Ifugao PPO with three, and the Apayao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province PPOs with one arrest each.
Police said five of those arrested were listed as most wanted persons. /das
