Fog restrictions in place at Auckland Airport

Fog is blanketing Auckland this morning, as the airport puts restrictions in place.

Fog restrictions were put in place at Auckland Airport on Thursday just after 3am.

So far 14 regional flights have been cancelled; main trunk domestic flights and international flights have not been affected.

Air New Zealand's flight log lists several flights delayed and cancelled this morning.

Customers were told to check the Auckland Airport website for the latest flight arrival and departure information.

MetService is forecasting morning cloud or flog over Auckland Central this morning, with fine spells coming.

The fog could cause Auckland harbour ferry services to and from Waiheke Island to be delayed or cancelled at short notice.

Ferry operator Fullers360 says it is closely monitoring the situation.
