Rider dies in e-scooter and electric skateboard crash

A 39-year-old man has died in a crash involving an e-scooter and an electric skateboard.

The two devices collided about 7pm yesterday on a multi-modal pathway next to Boat Harbour Drive in Urangan on Queensland's Fraser Coast, three hours north of Brisbane.

The e-scooter rider from Scarness died at the scene.

The skateboard rider, a 30-year-old Urangan man, was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital with serious injuries.

Investigations into the circumstances leading up to the crash are ongoing, and police are appealing for witnesses.
