
Sawaga-Dalwangan, a young Philippine Eagle believed to be female, is showing remarkable signs of recovery nearly two weeks after surviving a brutal monkey attack and pellet gun injuries, according to the Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF). The critically endangered raptor remains under intensive veterinary care and close monitoring as she continues to regain her strength. According to the PEF, Sawaga-Dalwangan was rescued on July 3 in Barangay Dalwangan, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon by Marvin Linoy, with assistance from the Daraghuyan Ancestral Domain Indigenous Political Structure and the Inhandig Tribal Multi-Purpose Cooperative.
