Man Dies After Being Crushed Between Truck And Heavy Machinery In Dingli

A 74-year-old man has died following a tragic workplace accident in Sqaq Kalkara, Dingli, this morning.

Police were called to the scene at around 10am, where preliminary investigations found that the metal rear door of a truck had fallen, pinning the man against the bucket of a heavy machinery vehicle.

The victim was certified dead at the scene.

Magistrate Monica Borg Galea has opened an inquiry, while police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
