
MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck Balut Island, Sarangani anew on Saturday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The tectonic quake hit southwest of Balut Island at 10:23 a.m. with a 15-kilometer depth of focus.
Phivolcs logged this as an aftershock of the magnitude 7.8 quake off Sarangani on June 8, and the magnitude 6.5 quake off Balut Island last June 26.
