People who have allegedly issued threats against Aamir Khan claim to have links to the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has emerged as the latest target of an alleged threat issued in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, with Mumbai Police investigating a Facebook post and an audio clip that surfaced online on Saturday and reviewing his security arrangements.
The alleged threat, carrying the names of Aarzoo Bishnoi and Tyson Bishnoi, accused Aamir Khan and others of promoting “love jihad” and claimed such activities were “against Sanatan Dharma and the nation.” The message warned that the gang “would not tolerate” such acts and would “respond very soon.”
Police, however, said the authenticity of the Facebook post and the voice clip has not yet been established.
Police probe begins
Following the emergence of the alleged threat, teams from the Mumbai Crime Branch and local police visited Aamir Khan’s residence in Pali Hill, Bandra, to assess the security situation.
A senior police officer said there is no evidence so far to suggest that the actor or any member of his team directly received the threat.
“Our preliminary inquiry indicates that neither the actor nor his staff received the message directly. We are investigating where the Facebook post and the voice clip originated, who uploaded them and whether they were specifically intended for the actor,” the officer said.
The Cyber Cell and the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) have begun tracing the origin of the social media content and identifying those responsible. Investigators are also examining whether the threat has any genuine link to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

“The actor’s security is being reviewed. If the threat is found to be authentic and linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, appropriate security measures, including extra protection teams will be deployed,” the officer added.
Another police officer said Aamir Khan is currently not staying at his Pali Hill residence as renovation work is underway at the property, which falls under the jurisdiction of Khar police station. He is temporarily residing at another location in Bandra, where police officials also carried out a security assessment. The investigation is ongoing, and police are yet to establish the authenticity, source and intent behind the alleged threat.
The social media post accuses Aamir Khan, of promoting “Love Jihad” and activities allegedly against Sanatan Dharma and Indian culture, warning that those involved would face consequences.
On sexual assault of minor girl in Rajasthan
The Facebook post also referred to the alleged sexual assault of a minor girl in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar, alleging that some politicians are trying to protect the accused. The girl who went missing for four days in June was sold to ‘customers’ for amounts ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,800, according to a report in The Indian Express.

It warned that those involved in the case or attempting to shield the accused would face consequences outside the legal process.
“This is our first and last warning. Anyone who was even one percent involved in what happened to that innocent girl, and anyone who escapes punishment through the law, will be punished by us. And to the politicians trying to save them—stop interfering immediately, or you will face the same fate as them,” their post read.
Bishnoi gang members pay tribute to Pravesh, Himanshu
The members, who claim to have links with the Bishnoi gang, also paid tributes to Pravesh and Himanshu, who were gunned down during an encounter with a joint team of the Haryana and Delhi Police in Bahadurgarh last week.
“Our two brothers who were martyred, Parvesh and Himanshu, will always remain in our hearts, and we will not let your sacrifice be forgotten. We will give our enemies a fitting reply. May God grant peace to both of your souls,” their statement added.

Both Pravesh and Himanshu were part of a six-member group that fired at Guru Randhawa-owned 24 HS Gym in Delhi’s Paschim Vihar and shot gym trainer Kapil Redhu dead outside his gym in Hansi last month.
The six accused — Arman, Tushar, Sagar, Haqeeqat, Pravesh and Himanshu, aged between 19 and 22 — were from Haryana’s Hisar and Sonipat districts.
According to the police, all the six people were allegedly connected to Anil Pandit and Sunder Hansi, associates of the Harry Boxer-led Lawrence Bishnoi gang, through encrypted messaging applications Signal and Zangi.
