LEGAZPI CITY — Two individuals were arrested and P569,000 worth of suspected smuggled cigarettes were seized during a maritime patrol operation in Mercedes, Camarines Norte, on Friday, July 17.
In a report released Saturday, Col. Dave Mejia, acting provincial police director, said personnel of the Camarines Norte Maritime Police Station intercepted the suspects, identified only by their aliases “Kiko” and “Isong,” while they were aboard a motorized banca in Barangay Lalawigan at 11:45 a.m.
