Eva Longoria Shares Why She Waited to Become a Mom at Age 43
Eva Longoria has no qualms about her ex.
The Desperate Housewives alum reunited with her ex-husband Tony Parker 15 years after finalizing their divorce, proving they are certainly on good terms.
Longoria posted a photo of herself and Parker to Instagram Stories June 8 as the French basketball player stopped by the set of her travel series, Eva Longoria: Searching for France.
The 51-year-old captioned the now-expired post, "Look who came to visit....the one and only TP @tonyparker09.”
Longoria and Parker, 44, tied the knot on July 7, 2007, in a 17th century castle outside Paris. Three years later, the Flamin’ Hot director filed for divorce in November 2010 amid rumors that Parker had cheated on her with the wife of a fellow NBA player.
At the time, Longoria’s friend Mario Lopez revealed that Longoria found text messages from the other woman, noting the Telenovela star told him Parker had also cheated on her early in their marriage.
And her split from Parker was a difficult one for Longoria, especially as the couple’s relationship began around the same time as the success of Desperate Housewives.
“I was with him eight years, which is how long I've been on the show,” she shared on The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet in 2012. “Which is how long I've had my success. Which is how long I've built my wealth. It signified so much, this life with him.”

“So when we got divorced I felt like I got stripped of my identity and who I was,” Longoria admitted. “Kind of, “OK, wait. What does this mean for me? And how am I going to do this?’ And I had to really realize that they weren't tied together.”
Plus, it was hard going through such a difficult time in her life while in the Hollywood spotlight.
“I am so public and I am pretty open about myself. And about my marriage I was,” Longoria recalled on The Piers Morgan Show in 2011. “You know, ‘Tony and I are going here. Tony and I are going there.’ When that happens, you immediately shut down. You go, ‘Oh my god, I have to deal with this.’ And it was hard. It was devastating to go through on its own, much less publicly.”

And the Overboard actress truly believed that she and Parker would be together forever.
“Marriage in my family is really a sacred sacrament. It wasn't something we did frivolously,” she said. “Our mantra was, ‘Divorce is not an option.’ We always would kid about that— I'll kill him before I divorce him.”
Following her divorce from Parker, Longoria married Mexican businessman José Bastón in 2016, with the two welcoming son Santiago in 2018.
Meanwhile, Parker married French journalist Axelle Francine in 2014. The pair, who share sons Josh, 12, and Liam, 9, split in 2020.
