
MANILA, Philippines — Suspected illegal drugs worth a total of P38.5 million were confiscated in a buy-bust operation in Pampanga, leading to the arrest of three individuals, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Wednesday.
Operatives caught the drugs and the suspects in Barangay Del Pilar, San Fernando City early Tuesday morning, according to the PNP in a statement.
Authorities recovered four kilograms of suspected shabu (crystal meth) worth P27.2 million and two kilograms of suspected cocaine worth P11.3 million, the police noted.

“Authorities also recovered marked buy-bust money, boodle money, cellular phones, identification cards, drug paraphernalia including a digital weighing scale and packaging materials, as well as a motor vehicle allegedly used in the illegal transaction,” it added.
It only identified the arrested suspects as two male individuals and a female individual, all of whom were supposedly “high-value” targets.
The confiscated suspected illegal drugs and the arrested suspects were taken into the custody of the Police Regional Office Central Luzon Drug Enforcement Unit for proper disposition.
“We will continue to intensify our operations against those who persist in destroying lives through illegal drugs,” PNP chief, Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said in the statement. /mr
