PDEA agents dismantle drug den, arrest five in Sulu ops

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur – Authorities dismantled a drug den and arrested five suspects in a buy-bust operation on Friday afternoon, June 19, in Sitio Koongan, Barangay Tubig Putih, Luuk, Sulu.

According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), its Sulu Provincial Office, along with other law enforcement units in the area, arrested alias “Osri,” 42; alias “Adz,” 36; alias “Ron,” 51; alias “Oshin,” 50; and alias “Munib,” 50—all residents of Sulu.

Seized during the operation were 65 grams of suspected shabu, including one sachet weighing about 50 grams that was the object of sale, and 12 smaller sachets totaling 15 grams.

Authorities estimated the seized drugs to be worth P442,000.

Also recovered were digital weighing scales, improvised drug paraphernalia, mobile phones, handheld radios, assorted packaging materials, buy-bust money, and two caliber .45 pistols with magazines and live ammunition. /jpv
