
MANILA, Philippines — Another group of players from the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) men’s basketball team appeared before the Philippine National Police–Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP–CIDG) on Wednesday as part of the investigation into the deaths of their teammates, Rene Baterbonia and Divine Adili.
Shawn Tuano was among those observed entering the CIDG shortly after 9:30 a.m.
Several former and current ADMU players also appeared before the PNP-CIDG on Tuesday.

The players were accompanied by their lawyers.
Neither the players nor the lawyers issued a statement to the media.

Baterbonia and Adili died after supposedly being swept away by a strong currents during a purported training activity in a beach resort in Dipaculao, Aurora last June 8.
The CIDG previously said it was investigating possible homicide or hazing cases as a result of the incident.
According to the police, at least 22 players and 7 members of the coaching staff participated in the supposed training activity.
