The tournament promises to be a showcase of both local and international talent, with six foreign teams competing against six Philippine squads in what is expected to be the biggest women’s 3×3 basketball event ever staged in Cebu.
Rondina, a native of Compostela in northern Cebu, and Fajardo, who hails from Pinamungajan in southern Cebu, are among the province’s most accomplished athletes and are expected to add star power to the event.
Joining them are Cebu basketball standouts JR Quiñahan and Mac Tallo.
Tallo rose to prominence in the post-pandemic era as a key member of the Chooks-to-Go 3×3 squad and was recognized as the highest-ranked Filipino player in the FIBA 3×3 rankings for several years.
Also expected to make an appearance is social media sensation Audray June Biongcog of the National University Lady Bulldogs and an NBTC All-Star.
The opening ceremony is scheduled at 12 noon on Saturday, with games immediately following.
