MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) said it has not received any official communication on the supposed issuance of an International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant to arrest Sen. Bong Go and two police officers.
The claim that the global tribunal had ordered Go and the two others arrested came from Davao City Rep. Pulong Duterte in a social media post on Wednesday night, citing a “highly reliable source.”
In response to Rep. Duterte’s claim, in a statement later on Wednesday night, PNP public information chief Col. Allen Rae Co said, “The Philippine National Police has not received any official communication or documentation regarding the alleged issuance of ICC warrants.”

However, he noted, “Should any warrants be issued by a competent authority and transmitted through proper legal channels, the Philippine National Police will implement and execute the same in accordance with the law and established protocols.”
“We will not get ahead of the process, but we will never shy away from our duty,” he added.
Go is among several individuals identified by the ICC as co-perpetrators in the crimes against humanity charges against former President Rodrigo Duterte, the Davao City representative’s father who is currently detained at the Hague, Netherlands.
Although Rep. Duterte did not name the two police officers supposedly ordered arrested by the ICC, former PNP chiefs Oscar Albayalde and Vicente Danao are also among former President Duterte’s alleged co-perpetrators.
