Nationalist Party leader Alex Borg has officially been sworn into Parliament as Leader of the Opposition as Malta’s new legislature got underway following the 2026 general election.
The oath was administered during Parliament’s first sitting after the election.
Following the ceremony, Borg shared a message on social media alongside footage from the swearing-in, writing: “Always with you. Not with words, but with actions.”
The sitting was presided over by newly elected Speaker of the House Carmelo Abela, while former PN leader Bernard Grech was elected Deputy Speaker.
What do you make of Borg’s message?
