NBC will give a big push to its civilian version of The Traitors to start the fall.
The show, officially titled The Traitors: New Blood, will have the earliest premiere (not including live sports) on the network’s fall schedule. The show will debut Sept. 17 with a two-hour episode, followed by another two-hour edition the following week. New Blood will follow the same format as the celebrity version of The Traitors that has become one of Peacock’s biggest shows; Alan Cumming also hosts the NBC version.
The rest of NBC’s lineup will get a staggered rollout. The Voice will kick off its 30th season on Sept. 21, leading into new drama Line of Fire; additional episodes of The Voice will also air on Tuesday and Wednesday that week, paired with the season finale of America’s Got Talent. The Wednesday night block of Chicago Med, Fire and PD is set to premiere Oct. 7, and Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order (which is moving to 10 p.m.) will follow the next night.
NBC’s two comedy blocks will roll out in late October and early November. Season three of Friday stalwart Happy’s Place and new comedy Newlyweds, starring Tea Leoni and Tim Daly, will debut Oct. 23. The Monday hour of St. Denis Medical and The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins is set to premiere Nov. 2. The network’s two other new scripted shows, The Rockford Files and Sunset P.I., will debut in early 2027.
The network’s primetime college football and NFL slates will start in early September. The NFL’s kickoff game, which is usually on a Thursday night, moves up to Wednesday, Sept. 9 and will feature a Super Bowl rematch between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.
