MRT-3 fully operational - DOTr

MANILA, Philippines — The Metro Rail Transit (MRT)-3 remains open and fully operational on Tuesday despite the ongoing rally at the Edsa People Power Monument, the Department of Transportation said.

The agency said train services from the North Avenue Station to the Taft Avenue Station remain uninterrupted despite the event.

“Our station personnel and security teams are fully deployed across the line to maintain order, ensure passenger safety, and keep operations running smoothly,” it said in a social media post.

Thousands of protesters gathered at the People Power Monument early Tuesday, prompting the closure of several roads and causing traffic congestion. /gsg
