MANILA, Philippines–Filipino tennis star Alex Eala met Britain’s Princess Catherine during the 2026 Wimbledon Championships in London.

In an Instagram Story, Eala shared a photo with the Princess of Wales alongside her good friend and fellow player, Zeynep Sonmez of Turkey.

“So honoured to have grabbed a pic with Her Royal Highness!” Eala wrote in the caption.

Princess Catherine was in attendance at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Thursday.

Eala, meanwhile, is set for a showdown against defending champion Iga Swiatek on Centre Court on Saturday at 8:30pm.

The Filipino advanced to the third round—the best Grand Slam result of her career—after defeating Maya Joint in the second round.
