
The Nationalist Party’s seven casual elections have now been concluded, confirming the latest MPs set to join Parliament.
The seven candidates elected today are:
Andrew Agius (7th District)
A veterinary surgeon by profession, Agius enters Parliament for the first time after securing a seat vacated by Adrian Delia. He is the son of former PN Parliamentary Secretary Francis Agius and said he was “extremely proud” to become the first veterinarian in Malta’s Parliament.
Stanley Zammit (5th District)
The mechanical engineer from Birżebbuġa returns to Parliament after filling a seat vacated by Conrad Borg Manche. Zammit previously served as the PN’s spokesperson for planning and lands.
Graziella Attard Previ (10th District)
Attard Previ takes over a seat vacated by Mark Anthony Sammut. First elected in 2022, she previously served as the PN’s spokesperson for equality and civil liberties and was formerly mayor of Sliema.
Ian Vassallo (7th District)
Known as “Hagi”, Vassallo returns to Parliament after filling a seat vacated by Adrian Delia. A podiatrist by profession, he previously served as the PN’s spokesperson for primary care.
George Vital Zammit (12th District)
Zammit was elected to a seat vacated by PN leader Alex Borg. A public policy academic, he played a leading role in drafting the party’s electoral manifesto and has experience working within the Cabinet Office.
John Baptiste Camilleri (3rd District)
The aircraft engineer secured a seat vacated by Stephen Spiteri. Camilleri previously served as minority leader of the Marsascala Local Council and enters Parliament after unsuccessful attempts in 2017 and 2022.
Graham Bencini (10th District)
Bencini returns to Parliament after being elected to a seat vacated by Joe Giglio. An accountant by profession, he previously served as the PN’s spokesperson for social security.
With today’s casual elections completed, the PN’s parliamentary group continues to take shape ahead of the new legislature.
